COSTA RICA : PLAYERS TO WATCH

Paulo Wanchope, the country's all-time leading scorer (43 goals) who will call it an international career after this World Cup, must get a couple of goals for the Ticos to make any kind of impact in Germany. The versatile Gilberto Martinez, who is best at center defender, is the only Costa Rican in Europe and must raise his game to organize the defense. The midfield schemer is Walter Centeno, 31, who is best known for scoring against Real Madrid for AEK Athens (Greece) in a Champions League match.
