The Boys & Girls Club of East Los Angeles unveiled a new, first-class soccer field at its main facility located on McDonnell Avenue in East Los Angeles on Wednesday. The turf-grass soccer field was donated by the United Arab Emirates embassy in Washington DC in conjunction with English Premier Club Manchester City.

Swanson, Montoya tabbed for US Women’s U-20, U-17 National Teams
CHICAGO– The U.S. Soccer Federation has hired Steve Swanson as head coach of the U.S. Under-20 Women’s National Team and Albertin Montoya as head coach of the U.S. U-17 Women’s National Team. Both coaches will guide their teams into CONCACAF Qualifying for their respective FIFA Women’s World Cups, which will be held in the fall of 2012.
